A credit your school will not accept is worth nothing. Here is how transfer actually gets decided, and the questions to ask before you spend money.
The single most expensive mistake in credit recovery is paying for a course whose credit your school will not take. It happens often enough that it is worth understanding how the decision actually gets made.
Who decides
Your own school or district decides whether to accept an incoming credit. Not the provider, and not the issuing school. That is why any promise of a "guaranteed" credit means nothing unless someone has actually asked your school.
Why accreditation is the first filter
Most schools will not consider a credit unless it comes from an accredited institution. Accreditation means an outside organisation reviewed the school and agreed its credits are legitimate. Our Program Schools hold Cognia accreditation at a minimum.
What to confirm before paying
Ask who awards the credit and who accredits them. Ask whether the course appears on a formal transcript from that school. Ask what happens if your school says no.
We do the asking for you. After you enroll, we contact your school or district to confirm in writing that the credit will be accepted — and if the answer is no, your enrollment is refunded automatically.
